Stitch Waiting for Christmas, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a little black puppy in a Santa hat and red scarf sits on the doorstep of a white front door hung with a red-bowed wreath and a heart, beside a decorated Christmas tree, a pile of wrapped gifts and a glowing lantern in the falling snow.
A little stitcher's folklore: dog owners say a puppy always knows the moment the presents arrive — and never takes its eyes off the door until they do.
Why this kit: a cosy, festive doorway with a sweet puppy and 57 colours for glossy fur, frosted greenery and shiny baubles — a tall picture that is a joy to stitch for the holidays.
Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida in white (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 57 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch lines and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.
Work one chart page at a time, starting with the puppy and gifts, then the tree and wreath, and finish with the door, garland and snow.
Finished size: 32×48 cm (12.5×18.8 in). A cheerful Christmas picture for a porch-side wall or hallway and a perfect gift for dog lovers.
